In 18CI, he responded to his country's call and enlisted Id the 48th lod. Infl. where he served for eleven months, after which bt enlisted iu the 12th Ind. Cavalry In which he served until the close of the war.The funeral was held from the 1 home, Rev. Eugene llail officiating, theG. A. R. attended in a body.
