Kitchen, son of John Kitchen, was born In Clearsprinp township, April 3,1844, and departed thi3 life December 17, 1901, aged 58, years, 3 months and 27 days.At the age ot 23 he was married to j Catharine Todd, four children beinj;. the fruit of their uuion. Bis wiilt; | died In 1680, and in 183G he wa? united iu marriage to Julia Canfield.' He was a member of the U. B. church and leaves a wife, two brothers and four children. In 18CI, he responded to his country's call and enlisted Id the 48th lod. Infl. where he served for eleven months, after which bt enlisted iu the 12th Ind. Cavalry In which he served until the close of the war.The funeral was held from the 1 home, Rev. Eugene llail officiating, theG. A. R. attended in a body.
