Charison. who has charge oi‘ Mike Eli’s and the Turk's wrestling engagements, stated this this morning that Mike is confident that he can best Frank Gotch. should they meet upon the mat again and for that reason he had decided to challenge Gotch for ja match, to take place in this city alxjmt January :h It will be for $200 a side, the winner toalso take 75 per cent of the gate receipts, while the rfwnaJniiig 25 per cent will be allowed ithe loser.The above’terms, pgctber with the stipulation that the: match shall be for the best three out of five falls, eatch-as-entch can, with no holds barred. will be the substance of Mr. Charison challenge to Botch oh behalf of his charge. Jt will be remembered that at the recent match Goteh threw Eli 'two out of three falls, although it was one of the best, and most scientific bouts ever seen in the city and as such the people are not through yet in discussing the various phases of it. If the two men should come together again, it should be a great drawing card and the prospects are bright that the match will be pulled off. as Farmer Bums, who is Goteh’s hacker, has never been known to evade a merit-ous challenge.Mike Eli also has made many admirers during his stay in the city and it is safe to say that he would have many backers in a contest with Gotch.
