V/* JLAJLkJ ViVA UU UiiU )|Uin the cauldron of public scrutiny.Mr. Amos T. Akerman leaves the Cabinet on the 10th day of January, 1872.— Already Senator Joshua Hill lias introduced a bill to make Georgia into two judicial districts. If the bill becomes a law, the Upper, or Cherokee District, will, probably, be assigned to Mr. Akerman, although, Hon. Dawson A. Walker—at present a member of the Civil Service Commission—would not ooject to being encumbered by such a position, and it might be that his acquaintance and identification with the people of Cherokee Georgia would make him more acceptable than any other Grantocrat. But the serious question now is, are the people of North Georgia to be afflicted during the remainder of this century with Judge Amos T. Akerman? Would it not bo well for the people to commence enlarging their jails ? for will not Judge Akerman soon- fill up those in present use ?
