Rev. William W. Roughton, pastor of the Commun-i ity Methodist church. Fort Pierce.■ and president of the Fort Pierce ’ Ministerial Association, delivered the invocation for this special , broadcastMayor Wallace Sample sad County Commissioner Robert L ; Griffin made special talks in welcoming the new radio station to Fort Pierce, and Mrs. Hugh Hale, i director of District 10. Florida Federation of Woman's clubs, broadcast greetings to the new sta-■ lion from all of the civic clubs in the area.There were brief talks by Claude C. Tillman. Jr.. and Murray Tillman. owners of the new station, and Lee Lively. MARX program director. introduced the other members of the slaff. Tne.se included Catherine Lively, copy director. Jay Barton, announcer. John Palmer, chief engineer and others.Many reports were received from listeners in outlying areas commenting on the excellent reception of the station, with many expressing appreciation for the network Pr®srems.
