Mrs. Rachel Helen Brown War ren, age 87, passed away at her residence, 1009 J Avenue at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday. She was taken ill Monday morning and never regain ed consciousness. At the Warren home at the time were two daugh ters, Miss Marcia’ Warren and Mrs. Rachel Warren: Watson and Mrs. Watson’s son, Richard Gould Watson, ITI. The deceased leaves two sons, Allyn D. Warren of Chicago’ and Charles B. Warren of Los Angeles. There are five gran ten and one great grandchild. During the past week Mr. and Mrs. Charles Warren had been at the family home for a visit to Mr. Warren’s mother. — Cremation will be conducted by the Benbough Funeral parlors fol lowed by interment in the spring at the family lot in Graceland Cemetery, Chicago. Mrs. Warren was born in Cam bridge, Massachusetts, spending her early life there. She was mar ried in Chicago to Charles D. War ren who died in 1917. Always rather frail, Mrs. War ren spent much time in Honolulu, first going there three months af ter the annexation when President Grant was a visitor. The family returned there many times during those colorful years. Later the family wintered in Coronado, generally at Hotel del Coronado, later buying the present home. For 20 years the family has resided here. Mrs. Warren was a member of the Society of Colonial Dames and of the D. A. R. although not actively interested for many years past. Her loss will be felt by a large circle of friends, both here and in Chicago.
