DIAGHILEFF’S BALLET RUSSEDioghi left's ballet russe, with Nijinsky and Karsavina, which is coming to Boston the first 10 days of February, left Bordeaux yesterday (Saturday) on the new French liner Irfifayette, and will reach New York in about a week. Approximately 55 dancers are in the company, including a number of new ones recruited from Petrograd and Moscow who have not danced with the ballet in l^ondon and Paris. Among these is Miss Valentine Kachouba, who has been solo dancer in Moscow and Kiev. Miss Kachouba has the distinction of having obtained the first prize at the beauty competition held in Moscow two years ago. Another new dancer who has just joined the troupe is Mieczyslaw Pianowski, who was imperial court dancer at Warsaw, where he had been taking many of the leading roles.According to the latest advices that Mr. John Brown of the Metropolitan Opera Company has received from M. Diaghileff, the total number of productions that are being brought over is 21 Instead of 18- Mr. Ansermet, the conductor, is arriving In New York within a few days.
