CltUdreii In Pinafore. The presentation of the familiar opera of Pinafore, bv Lehnen’s Juvenile Company at the Opera House Christmas evening and last night was quite as good as any previous representation the opera has had in Batavia, and because of the tender years of those who assumed the principal parts, it was, in fact, quite a wonderful performance. Children are good imitators, but to give Pinafore as these children present it requires something more than were mitniary, and that they were able to please the audience so satisfactorily, is evidence that they not only possess more than ordinary intelligence, but have been taught by a capable instructor. The Admiral, Josephine, Hebe, Little Butercup and Ralph sang and acted with much spirit and sustained their parts admirably, ifully meeting the expectations of the audience. The attendance Wednesday eveni ng was not large, but at the matinee and evening performances yesterdaythe hall was well filled.
