AN ADDRESS.The General Conference Committee, representing the Crescent City Club, Riverside Club and Bulletin Guards, has issued the following address to the Democratic Conservative voters of the Third Ward:The. General Conference Committee, representing the Crescent City Club. Riverside Club, Bulletin Guards and People’s Club, present for your consideration the following names of delegates to represent the Third Ward in the Htato Convention to be held on the :u\ of January next, viz: l. Warren Brickell, Win. Conway,T. W. Collens, Hr.. Me Kin ley Gibson,Mirhael Lyons, Peter Blais#*,Win. E. Todd. T. M. Westeott,J. F. Henderson, Arch’d Htewart,Henry Time. Egan, Sr.,C. Mason ore, I. P. Scanlan,Patrick M. Joy, C'has. Spitz,James Cousley.We have selected some of the best names from among the land owners and world rig men of the ward men of enlarged and liberal views, who, if elected, will advocate no rash schemes or measures, but will deliberate ml inly and dispassionately as to the best course to be pursued to ensure prosperity to the people of the Htate.W#lt; have ignored the claims of i*-Iit leal aspirants, and put those on our ticket who have not sought for this nomination.The names which we submit*—names well known to our jieople—are the l**et guarantee or our statements.We regret that there should be more than one ticket in the Held. For this we are not to blame. It. has been oui earnest desire, and we have eijdeuv-oied to promote harmony and avoid dissension. In this we have not I*«mj successful, blit we have the satisfaction of knowing that we have done all that men could do.Our aim —to select honest and capable men as delegates, who will represent the Thin!
