Last Rites Held (F°r Joseph SchullerExpressions of sadness and sincere regret were reverberant in this community by the death of J1 Joseph J. Schuller which occurred 11 at his home north of Mallard last 3 Tuesday. He was a fine man 8 with a spirit of kindliness towards * his friends and neighbors, a de- 1 voted husband, and a considerate 0 father. He had been in failing health for several years and last c May he suffered a paralytic f stroke from which he never fullv a recovered. He reached the age ; of 59 years. 1The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Schuller Sr. 1 and was bom October 21, 1888 on 1 a farm north of Mallard. On J January 16,1912 he was united ' in marriage to Rachel Bowen of ■} Rimby, Alberta, Canada, by ‘ J. J Neppel. To this union were k born six sons and one daughter. Mr. Schuller chose farming as a c profession in his youth and en- J joyed his work very much. He was a Christian, having be^n a { member of St Mary’s church in * Mallard all his life, fSurviving are his bereaved wife, ' and his children, Edward who is J in Saipan, Gene and Michael of Whittemore, Iowa, Mrs. Don Broad well of Emmetsburg, Thom- 1 as who is in the Navy and is stationed at Norfolk, Va., Clifford ‘ and Virgil at home; his mother, Mrs. Mary E- Schuller! one sister, * Mrs. T. J. Hood and two brothers, Mark and Frank of Mallard; also * eight grandchildren and a hostof . relatives and friends.The funeral services were held 1 in St. Mary’s church Friday morning at 9:30, with Rev. F. J. lllg officiating at the requiem mass. St. Mary’s choir furnished the music. Burial was in St Mary’s cemetery.The casket bearers were Willard Schuller, Vic Graff, Mark Schuller Jr., Pat Schuller, Dennis Schuller and Joe Hood.Honorary pallbearers wire his sons. Gene, Michael, Clifford, Thomas and Virgil. . The son Edward was unable to be present for the funeral.The floral tributes were In charge of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Namer and Miss Pearl Namer.To the family and to those who mourn with them is extended the sincere condolence of their many friends.Card of ThanksIt is with feelings of sincere thanks and deep appreciation that we acknowledge the kindness of neighbors and friends who tendered their assistance at the time of our recent bereavement the loss of our beloved husband, father and son.Our expressions of gratitude also goes to Rev.
