Maug , ham and Kelly Klrod,.two officers in Gwinnett county, charged with the murder of Zach Cleghorn, was held , before Justice of the Peace S. A. i Haygood.Zach Cleghurn was approached oy i the two officers who came to arrest i him. It was claimed by the state that lt;the officers flrcd on Cleghorp and kill* ed him while he-was running from his : house. The defense was that Cleg-horn's own brother, mistaking him for ] an officer, shot.aud killed him. ITho case was vigorously fought on 1 both sides. Messrs. N. L. Hutchins, of I Lawrencevillo, J. A. Pirry, of Law* -roncevllle and-l. L. Oaks, represented i the defendant, while the state was I represented by Col. W. B. Sloan, of i Gainesville. 1After hearing the evidence and tho 1 arguments of counsel, Judge Haygood dismissed tho warrant. lt;
