The Vermont Street School will give a grand Christinas tree for the benefit of theschool. On Wednesday evening the 20th inst. An excellent programme for the occasion has been prepared, consisting as follows: Opening Chorus by the School; Prayer by the Superintendent, V. Sanders; Opening address, James T. V. Hill; Solo by MissSarah Johnson; Essay by Mr. A. J. Knasb; Singing by the School; Essay by .Miss Sarah E DouglM; Address, Alford Harrison, K*q.All are invited, as an entertainment of rare exercise will commence promptly at 8 o'clock, Come one, come all, and have a good time.
