CHAUNCEY—At a meeting of the Chauncey City Civil Defense organization at the high school building Frank Lewis was named Director of Civil Defense with Woodrow Ferrer as assistant. Mayor Charles Wadley will serve as co-ordinator. Rev. Gilbert Courtney is director of personnel with W. G. Davis, superintendent of schools as as sistant. Thomas R. Hamilton is director of training and operations, with Joseph Cline as assistant. Junior Dowler is director of sup plies, with Vergil Preston as as sistant. Dr. C. N. Sanders is di rector of health with John B. (Jack) Ley as assistant. Charles Bradfield is in charge of publicity and Chalmer Poling director of in formation with Phillip McNaugh ton as assistant. Directors were sworn in by Magistrate John J. Ley. Another meeting will be held next week at the high school auditorium, the date to be announced later.
