MiddletownThe Middletown Fire Company has completed all reports to the Delaware County Firemen’s Association and also to the State Defense Council. A committee to solicit funds in the township for defense purposes has been appointed by Fire Chief Merle M. Smith.Those on the committee are Dr. Alton F. Evans, A, L. Westerman, [John ChatUey, Jr., William J. Mc-! Bride, Charles L. Smith, ft. C. i Fable. Jr., Thomas F. Nolan, S. A. Curry, E. H. Habbersett, Jr., and Fred Werner.The committee for the Lenni,iFire Company will be announced later.Allan E. Scott, Are chief of the Lsnni Company, has announced the following men to act as auxiliary firemen in iheir districts: Lawrence Wetheral, first assistant ; chief, in charge of the four dis-r| tricts; Glen Biddle unit No. 24S, jJames Galloway, who has thirty-iI two men under him; Wawa unit I No. 245. Ernest Singer, with 32 men; Lima School unit No. 246, Boland Morgan, 32 men, and Lima unit No. 247, Albert Weathers, 32 men.*| The trailers and equipment will ■be housed In each district.
