Amother and daughter, Mrs. H. Estbyand Miss Clara Estby, have justfinished such a journey and apparentlynone the worse for it They startedfrom, Spokane, Wash., andafternoon.This walk was the result of a Wager ofher daughter could not complete thewager. Hastings at Harrisburg, Pa. Their largest day’s walk was forty miles. On the first day they walked twenty-eight. Sometimes they had to sleep outdoors without shelter.The women wore bicycle skirts. Mrs.Estby used eleven pair of shoes, whilethe daughter wore out a dozen pairMrs. Estby, who is 38 years of age. intends to w’rite a book of her experiences. Her daughter is 19 years ofage. Near Philipsburg, N. J., theywere misdirected and walked fiftymiles out of their way.
