Times.The “Tracy branch” first broke ground on the 29.li day of May last, and «u built to Volga, the present terminus, on the 22d day of last October. The first station on this line of road in Balaton. 13 mile* west cf Tracy ; next is Tyler, 27 miles; then cornea Lake B-nton, 35 miles, which is in Minne* -ota, and in destined to be a famous resort for the traveler, tourist and pleasure-aeeker. Lake Benton ia one of the finest sheets ol water in Minnesota. It is abi.ut nine milee in length, whose banks are approachable to the margin of the lake from almost any point. Its waters are exceeding I v pure and abound with various kinds of fish. Here a little town haa sprung into existence, with it- mores, a hotel and a newspaper, the Lake Benton Times, C. M, Morse, editor. About twenty thousand bushels of wheat have already been shipped from this point since harvest.
