PUTNAM SOUTHERN STARS HAVE GIFT EXCHANGEThe Christmas meeting of the Putnam Southern Stars was recnetly held at the home of Elizabeth and Gwen Hayes. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Gina Boggs. The 4-H Pledge was led by Ann Grundmeyer.It was decided to go caroling on Dec. 19. Talks were given by Elizabeth Hayes on “Grocery Shopping”; Ann Grundmeyer on “Soybeans, the Vegetable Protein”; and Susan Rosburg on “Knife Safety”.A gift exchange was held and a lunch was served by Elizabeth and Gwen Hayes and their mother.On Sunday eve, Dec. 19, the Putnam Southern Stars, accompanied by Mrs. John Downer, Mrs. Claude Hayes, and Mrs. Verle Jones, went caroling to homes in rural Putnam Township. Afterward a lunch was served at the John Downer home.
