“The Time of the Cuckoo,” a romantic comedy by Arthur Laurent, will be presented by the Rodef Sholom Templayers on Jan. 13 and 20 at 8:30 p.m. in the social hall at Congregation Rodef Sholom, 170 North Sa Pedro Road, Santa Venetia. The story centers around an unmarried not-young secretary looking for romance in sum mertime Venice and became the basis of the film, “‘Summer time,’ which starred Katherine Hepburn and Rossano Brazzi. Pearl Rozen will play the lead role of Leona Samish, and Dr. Mark Saberman, the male lead, Renato Di Rossi, the long married Italian who courts Miss Samish. Other roles will be taken by Sandy Levitan, Karen Weiss, Judy Platt, Bill Denny, Cliff Koch, Lilian Fenton, Donald Lurie and Miles Kaplan. Backstage tasks will be han dled by Elliot Liff, stage man ager; Alf Leslie, costuming, and Bill Denny, sets. Lighting will be designed by Alan Hur witz and publicity is being han dled by Faye Levy and Donna Saberman. Hail Fenton is directing the play, which is being produced by Alan Levy and Joel Wolfson. Rodef Sholom Men's Club is sponsoring it.
