Lubbock, Tex Seeds from two rarities of storm proof cotton de veloped at Lubbock experiment station and produced at Texas Technological college will be available to cotton farmers after the Christmas holidays. The cotton was grown on ap proximately 30 acres of college dry land. The soil was in excel lent condition which compensated in part for the limited water the plants received, Dr. A. W Young head of plant industry, said. From about 20 acres, where variety 122 was planted, nine bales were harvested. On the 10 acre plot bearing variety KOA, 4 bases were harvested. A Boone exprimental Machine was used in in harvesting the crop. The 89A type is a combination of Delta Pine and Macha cotton, and 122 is Acala combined with Macha. The cotton seeds are to be available to farmers following seed cleaning and germination which will be finished by Jan. 1.
