The Donaghey hotel at Allen caught fire in the second story Saturday morning and considerable damage was done between the walls and to the ceilings before the citi zens finally got, the flames ex tinguished. Through the carelessness of one of the guests, it is understood, a gas stove was turned over in one of the upper story rooms, setting fire to the building. In the ab sence of a fire department it de volved upon the citizens who heard the alarm to go to the rescue of the building, and it was after hard fighting for more than an hour that the flames were extinguished. It was not learned just what damage to the building was estimated to be.
