GRANDMA\HO(VtSON DIES ||This community* suffered the loss of!another pioneer when Mrs. Hugh Thomson passed away Friday morn* ing at her home, following an Illness or eighteen months duration. She had been a resident of Moville and vicinity for 34 years,Mrs. Thomson wars Udy^who wasadmired by all who *MW her. Hergreatest Joy was in* ministering to others, and was always ready and ansi ufl to do a kind deed. ,Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon fio the Federated church and were conducted by Kov. L. N. Moody. The pall bearers were W. II. Thornley, Daniel Corey, B. J. Grepp,R. A. Foster, Ralph Huntinir and Ralph Spencer. Interment was in Arlington cemetery.Sarah Ellen Allwaaod was bom in Ratham, Lincolnshire, England, on March 4,1355, and died *% Moville, Iowa, December 17, 1926, aged 65 years, 9 months, 13 days. She was married to John Lancaster in Eng land in 1814, and with her husband came to America In July of the same year.On July 1,1888, she was united in marriage to Hugh Thomson in IMer-son.Deceased Is survived by her husband two sons, W. J. Lancaster, of Chicago,, and Walter Lancaster, of Anthon; two daughters, Mrs. LUxle Taylor, of Kingsley, and Mrs. Grace Malcolm, of Moville. She Is also survived by by thrso sisters and one brother, who reside in England. One son, GeorgeThomson, died in Washington July15. 1914.
