New Bara Novel and a Model QThe new octagonal barn erected by John Featherstone on his farm west of the north end of Twin Lakes was completed Saturday by George Stewart and his crew of workmen. The structure is novel in this community and will be observed with interestby all builders vvho are seeking convenience and most efficient use of the space available.It is fifty-two feet in diameter, providing apace for sjxty tons of bay in the top and fifteen head of horses bon the ground floor. In the cenJer water, hay and grain are available in one place, bo that the task o£ feeding requires/very/littie traveling around. The hopSes alt head in together, so they-can have a real sociable time if Umt is what they want, Every othfey octagon provides entrance though a sliding door, while the alternate spaees hold windows that furnish ample light. The cost jof this structure is around $1700,I In the building of this and another barn on the original Feathers rone place 20,000 feet of cottonwood lum-i ber, sawed from logs that grew on the place, have been used.
