Civil Service Case Heads Docket.The civil service and Huerfano county election cases have been placed at the head of the docket and will be heard by the State Supreme Court at the opening of the Januar}' term. Hearing on the election cases will take place on Jan. 3 and on the civil cases Jan. 4. The validity of the safety clause attached to acts by the Legislature to prevent their being subject to the referendum and a vote by the people Is involved in the civil cervice case. A petition to refer the amended civil service law passed by the Legislature last winter was signed, but refused for filing by Secretary of State Ramer. The secretary’s position was upheld in the Denver District Court. The Huerfano county election cases involve the election of Sheriff Jeff Farr and other Republican county officials declared elected in that county Nov. 3, 1914.
