Peculiar Canie LegdlDK t3 the Death of Patrick Hon 1 than, of Peoata.Patrick Houlihan, 65 years old, and residing on a farm two miles south of Peosta, died Thursday night about 8 o’clock. Wednesday last he was in this cit with some members of his family and was in his usual health. While walking through a stable in which his te*m was put up he received a kick from a horse. He was so near the amnnl that the kick seemed to have little force, so that he was pushed rather than kicked to the floor. On the way home, however, he was taken sick and was forced to lie down in the bob sleigh behind the seat. When the bouse was reached one of his sons ie-turned to this city for a physician, who reached there some time before death ensued. As he could find no bruise or abrasion on the body, the physician concludes that death resulted from nervous shock. Mr. O’Houlihan was highly respected in the community in which he lived and is survived by a wife and six children. The time of the funeral had not been determined when the physician returned to the city last evening.
