Homewood Youth Dies After AccidentAn eight-year-old boy was killed and his brother and a companion were seriously injured yesterday afternoon when they were struck by a vehicle on Ridge road in Homewood Paul Denisuk, 8, of 1123 Ridge road, Homewood, died yesterday at Ingalls Memorial hospital at approximately 2:30 pm, about 30 minutes after the accident. His 11-year-old brother, John, was said tobe in critical condition with a head injury and a fractured leg A third boy, John Zollman, 12, of 18245 Cowing avenue. Homewood, was reported to be in serious condition with head injuries, according to Ingalls hospital officials.AN EYEWITNESS, who was at the accident scene seconds after the boys were struck, said the accident occured on Ridge road west of Halsted street,about one to two blocks east of the Cook county sheriff’s police office in Homewood.The eyewitness also said he saw the wreckage of an auto that had crashed into a utility pole on Ridge road near the area where the boys were hitHomewood police said that car was the vehicle that struck the boys. The driver, a 16-year-old youth whose name was not immediately released, was charged with reckless driving He reportedly was not injured.Additional information concerning the accident was unavailable yesterday.
