Her affection for them was almost childlike in its confiding simplicity, and may Hod’s grace sustain them in their great loss, and Hod 1 grant that when their summons 1 comes they may he able to say “Ready” and may meet her who stands waiting and watching at the beautiful gate*. A pall of sadness now rests upon the once happy home. Death has taken its dearest treasure. Her remains were laid to rest in the family burying ground, by the Hide of loved ones. A large co »I course of friends followed the body to the grave. May the green grass which soon will wave over her grave be but theemblem of the pure and beauteous life to which she has been wafted.A light is from the household gone,A voice beloved is still,A place is vacant on the hearth,Which never can be filled. We miss the from our homo dear mother,We miss thee from thy chair,A shadow o’er our life is east,We miss the sunshine of tliy face.We miss thy kind and and willing ‘ liands,f Thy fond and earnest care ' Our home is dark without thee,We miss thee everywhere.‘ “May”Wyche, Va.
