Tay- jnenlor, packet, plying between this city and J Gtticinnati, exploded her boilers on her upward bound trip, at Taylorsville, and when ithe Queen came dowri, was found floatingin the river.The explosion took plhceabout six orclock, in the morning. ‘ Three persons were instantly killed, four missiiigiand ten scalded,some of which will undoubtedly die. Some forty hogs were blown over-hoard. The boat was but slightly damaged—she had two badges, loaded with hogs, in tow.The killed and wounded were deck hands and fireman, with the exception of three; who were Moses Smith, Engineer, a resident of this city, slighty scalded John Everhart, Engineer, a resident of,Petersburg!^ Ky., seriously wounded, although hi? life is uot dispaired of; and a man from fireens-burgh, Ind., who had hogs on board,.was severely injured.were taken on board ihe.Queen ana p^peri ______?boat.
