The same Day of Addred to his Highness the Prince of Grange, signet ty the Notility, High sheriff and Genery of the County of Cambridge, being by some of the principal of them brought up to Town, we here presented : Which His Highness received very grariously. Northampton, Dec. 21. This Week the Rabble assembled in this County, and have demolished all the Papist Chappels, and most of the remark able Papist Ho fes hereabouts , particularly Mr. Hinds. And ‘taftly, The Earl of Preerborough's House and Chappel at Praygon, where they ei ned his Lordships Steward, laid him on a Pile of Wood, and dreamed to burn him, unless he discovered where the great number of Arms, his Lordship had, were concealed, The Stew ard, to save his life, confest all; and said they were newly thrown into the Fishponds, to pre vent Discovery. One of the Fishponds is already searched, and in it found Arms for about 150 Perfers, and about ago Weight of Gunpowder , which is fine by the Water. The Rabble are now busy searching the other Fishgonds,with Expectation of finding more Ammunition and Arts, London, Dec. 25. His Highness the Prince of Orang? understanding, That upon the late Ir regular Disbanding of the horoes, divers Soul diers carried away the Arms belonging to their respective Regiments, and have firce left or im bezeled the same ; hath this Day signed an Or der, whereby his Highnes doth dire@ and re quire all Persons, ‘to whose Hands the said Arms, or any of them, are come, of with whom they now remain, forthwith to re-deliver them to the aid Soldiers, or their Officers upon De and 3 and in defanse thereof, forthwith to bring them to the Officers of the Ordnance, now at tending at Uxbridge, Hoxnflow, or the Tower of Zanda ; in onder to the returning the said Arms into the Stores of the Ordnance. This day, being Sunday, his Highness the Prince of Orange, came to the Protestant Chappel in this Palace, where was 2 very numerous Assembly of the Nobility,Gentry, and Citizens 5 and heard Divine Service see great Devotion , according to the Limrgy of the Church of England; and after the {ame was over, the Reverend Dr. Burner preached be fore his Highness, and the aforesaid Auditory, a most learned, eloquent, and edifying Sermon 5 exhorting to Gratitude, first to God, and then to his Highness, for his happy Deliverance from Popery, and Slavery, a5 aiso to universal Love and Charity 3 and Mercy, even to chose Pupists that are fallen into che Pit they dig‘d for the De strucion of the Procestante, dre. St. James's, Dee 24. Whereas the necessity of Affairs does require speedy Advice, his High ness hath this Day tauted to be printed and pub lished his Desire, That all such Persons as have served as Atembers in any of the Parliaments,du ring the Reign of the lary King Charles Htamece his Highnes at St. James's on Wedneday the 260. The Lords Spiritual and Temporal, viz. 1 Archbishop, 5 Dukes, 1 Mar quess, 27 Earls, 5 Viscounts, ¢ Bishops, and 22 Barons; in all 67, being, on Saturdy last, are sembled in the House of Lords as Wellingter did then, and there, make an Order; ( which was this day published ) whereby their Lordships, in this extraordinary Conjuncure, do order and require, That all Pipists, and reputed Papists, do, within 5 Days after the Date thereof, depart from the City of London onco their re spective Habitacions, from which they are not to remove above 5 miles; Excepting the Ser vants of the Queen Dowager, Foreign Ambassa dors, and their domestick Servants, being Fo reigners: And all other Foreigners, being Mer chants or Factors, cae reside in this Kingdom upon the atroant of Trac only. And also such as have been Housekeepers in London, or within re Males, for 3 years jast ( other than such as fell arms } provided they do in 8 Days after the Dareth leave a Note of their Names and Babitacians with the Ld. Mayor, Recorder, forme Aldersian, or Justice of Peace; Asalfo all fich Popish Officers as shail within days give in good Bail, to appear at the Kings-Bench Bar, the Firsh day of the next Term, and in Default to be com mitted, and kept in Custody as the Afilitia or Trained Bands oll further Order. Tis Discours’d that we shall most asuiredly have a General Convention of the Lords and Commons of England, to meet at Westminster, the god of Finuary nex, whcle Wisdom, Power and Goodness, we doubt not,may Oby the Blessing of Almghty God, and the Gracious Asistance of his Highness the Prince of Orange) Establish the Government both in Church and State, upon such fure and lasting Foundations, bat there may be no more Dang¢ of Popery or Slavery:
