icd.Jose Maria Garcia, 71, Passed Away WednesdayJose Maria Garcia, 71, a native of Guerrero, Mexico, one of the most pro* minent ranchmen of Webb county and a brother of Don Busebio Garcia, owner of Los Ojuelos grant, upon which several hundred of the Laredo district oil wells are located, passed away at the home of his son-in-law, Armando Villa-real, 202 Matamoros street, Wednesday evening at 7:45 o’clock after a lingering illness.Deceased had been a resident of Webb county about fifty years and was engaged in the ranching business most of the time, his ranch adjoining that of his brother on Los Ojuelos gram. Besides his widow he is survived by two sons, Alfredo and Daniel Garcia; three daugh ters, Mrs. Armando Villarreal, Mrs. Ray xnond V. Martin and Mrs. Pablo Juarez, and several grandchildren.The funeral took place from the Villa-real home to San Agustin Catholic church Thursday afternoon at 4 o’clock and was largely attended, interment being in the family burial ground in the Catholic cemetery.
