F. Vernon Barber, deputy sheriff of Apache county, was in Holbrook Wed nesday with two Indians whom he had arrested Tuesday upon the charge of being implicated in the robbery of the Cronemeyer store at Allentown a few days previously. This store was the scene two years ago of the killing of Curt Cronemeyer and “Red” McDonald. Since that time the store has been in charge of the executor of the Cronemeyer es tate. The robbery took place in the absence on an errand of the watchman employed by the estate. When the two Indians were arrest ed two days after the robbery they had in their possession $75 in curren cy, several robes and buckskin hides. Deputy Sheriff Barber took his pris oners to St. Johns Wednesday eve ning.—Holbrook News.
