Powell attended the banquet given by the Southern Society of New York at the Waldorf-Astoria Tuesday evening. He was the guest of Mr. John S. McMaster. President-elect Wilson was the speaker of the evening.The engagement of Rev. Custis Fletcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Fletcher, and Miss Margaret Prestley, of San Antonio, Texas, has been announced; the marriage to be solemnized in January. Mr. Fletcher is the rector of the Episcopal Church, at Temple, Texas.- Among others home for Chrismas are: Miss Bessie P.
