A BELFORD JOHNSON.^ V * •Belford Johnson was horn in West Moreland county, Penn., May 29, 1825. He was married to Jane Lynn, March 7, 1850, who died December 1, 1892. They moved to Losell county, 111., in the spring of 1802 and to Hardin County in the year 1875, settling at Lawn Hill. After the'death of his wife he made his home with his children and his frequent, visits were a source of constant delight to them. He was converted about lifty years ago and joined the Presbyterian i church. Everywhere he was a consistent Christian and bore evidence to | the truth of Christianity in; a humble and faithful service. His death occurred at the home of his son M. L. Johnson, near Buffalo Center, Thurs-. day, December 14th,• 1905There were six children born to them, all of who -are . living. Mrs. Mary Gillham, of Radcliffe; William, of Roseberg, Oregon; Mrs. Ada Me Farland, of Eldora; M. L., George and Charles Johnson, of Buffalo Center. The funeral services were held in the Baptist church last Sunday, Rev. Stanley officiating. The relatives present from abroad were— Geo.. C. S. and M. L. Johnson, of Buffalo Center: Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Gillham and son Melvin,of Radcliffe: Warren Gillham, of Albert City: Charles Gillham, of DesMoines.Card of thanks.—The relatives of the late Belford Johnson desire to thank their friends for their aid and sympathy, during the time of bereavement.
