REBEIvAH DAVIS.Last Monday morning at about two o’clock occurred the deathi • .*••• 1 • : , • 1 •of Mrs. Rebekah Davis, widow of the• * • •late Jessie .C„ Davis, ..of New Providence.The deceased has been greatly afflicted with asthma, which was primarily the cause of her being taken away at this time, although she had attained the age of (15 years.Mr. and Mrs.Davis early were Iowa and Hardin county settlers,comming to the state in lfc-M, and the county not long afterward, Mr. Davis passed away about 13 years ago. They were bcth very highly respected by all who knew them and their friends were numbered by their acquaintances.They were the parents of ten children, eight of whom are living. One of their sons passed away while a lad and Mrs. Klla Fleming, a daughter was buried several years ago. Those living are William, at Buffalo Center; Alonzo, at Ledyard: Alvin, in North Dakota: Bert, who made his home with his mother: Ed, at Union; Mrs. Della Albertson, at Elmore. Minn; Mrs. Nettie Smallwood, of New Prov-4idence.The daughters and Bert and Ed were present at the time of the taking away. Besides her children the deceased is survived by three brothers, one sister, one half-brother and one half-sister. The funeral occurred on ! Wednesday, interment at HoneyCreek, the resting place of Mr. Davis.
