For several years she has been asuifer-er from heart disease and during her many severe illnesses of the last few years which often confined her to her room for weeks, her death was hourly expected. On Sunday afternoon last alarming aymtoms again summoned the members of the family to her bedside and since then she gradually sank until death claimed its victory.Mrs. Porter, who, with her husband and family, was one of the earliest settlers in this district was very highly respected by all who had the privelege of her acquaintance. Her kindly hospitality and ready sympathy were much admired by her many friends. She leaves a husband and ^ * daughters and three sons’to mou. _TTHE FUNERAL,which was very largely attended took place yesterday afternoon from the residence on Water St. east, to the Presbyterian church and from thereto the cemetery on the hill. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. 0. Stephen,
