THE BUSINESS SOLLEGE. The Winniper Business College closed last evening for the Chrigimas holidays. Classes will be resumed on the 2nd of Janu ary, in the new premises to Hargrave's Block, the whole of the fourth story of which has been secured and arranged into rooms with special reference to its ocu pation for this purpose. The accommoda tion will be ample, as there are five rooms, startling five times the space hitherto at _ the disposal of the managers of the inst itution. There will be a main din] 55 x 26 feet, heardes class-rooma of poodyize and with lofty ceilings. The teaching staff is being increased by the addition of Mr. J. W. Banbury, an undergraduate of Toronto University, who will take full charge of the preparatory department during the coming year; Messry, FH. On and J. R. Lindsay continuing in charge of the other departments, namely: The inter mediate and the actual business depart ments. The last-mentioned departmment is a new feature in the institution, the unmallness of the rooms not having hither to admitted’ of its introduction. A college bank and 4 wholesale merchandise office are being established. business transac tions will be conducted with the students of British American Commercial College, Toronto, and those of Pickering College. The students of the actual business de partment wil be those who desire to con tinue their studies after completig the ordinary course in the intermediate de partment. The regular attendance up to the present has numbered thirty students, but from the applications also received it is expected that about double this num ber will present themselves at the reopen ing after New Year's. Since the opening of the soWege lhst February with only half a dozen gepils, the number enrollen has increased to weighty.
