Tk© Fir|« Town Site.[Yrom the Hwl River Ifc T. filer ,11.]Humor© have been rife Ihls week lo the effect that the contest for that part *f the Fargo town alte lying aouth of the rui 1 road track had been decided in favor of the half breed claimant, Francis Peronto, against the Northern Pacific Railroad Company. If the report proves true, the decision is an important one, and one that will make many hearts bleed, and a very happy half breed. The land department of the Northern Pacific has sold a greater part of the tract to.parties who have built what constitutes the main buisness houses of the | town. Of course this decision will be i appealed from, but the power behind the; throne—which gained this master stroke— j * still exists, and is just as apt to secure subsequent decisions. This coup de uuitri virtually places Fargo and Morehcad under one control. *'A wheel within a wheel.
