Wrestlers win 28-21 contestTuesday night the Albia grapplers rewarded their faithful wrestling fans by defeating a tough Davis County team for Albia’s first win of the season.Charles Mordan, Albia’s head wrestling coach, stated that he and Coach Garvey were very pleased with the team and individual performances after a disasterious 51-3 loss to Winterset.Steve Coon and Randy Kint got pins for the varsity while Dale Chidester, Les Bettis, and Kelly Hughell picked up pins for the reserves.The varsity won 28-21 and the bout scoring ran as follows:98 lbs. - Doug Spilman decisioned pinned Jim Schleier (A) :12105 lbs. - Doug Langford decisioned Dave Ryan (A) 9-2.112 lbs. - Rod Perry (A) decisioned Brian Peck (D.C.) 9-2.119 lbs.
