Five From Monroe County Inducted Into ServiceMonroe County’s first contingent of inductees, drafted by the Selective Service Board, left Waterloo Monday and reported tlt;J the Federal Building in St. Louis, from where it is believed they were sent to Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., near Rolla.The men included the following:Linus H. Horcher, Columbia.John B. Jung, Waterloo.Victor Cowell, Red Bud Route.Robert Lich, Waterloo Route.Henry A. Seboldt, Fults Route.This constitutes the first group forwarded for induction into military service since the opening of the local Monroe County draft board on August 3, 1950.
