A public meeting under the aus pices of the Jamaica Reform Club was held on Tuesday night last at Coke Chapel steps, when Mr. Alfred A. Mends, the general president, de livered an address. He wanted to im press upon his audience that the Jamaica Reform Club loved liberty and loyalty to the British Crown. The British Constitution stood for justice, but it was a pity that admin istrators coming out here did not get the idea imbedded in their minds. They should be missionaries and pioneers, and carry with them always the ideals necessary for Bri tish colonial expansion, Jamaica wanted unity, co-operation, co-ordin ation, and organization. This colony had been too long neglected by the mother country. Mr. S. J. Maxwell and Mr. G. P. Radway also addressed the meeting.
