GOTTSCHALK THINKS HE GOT A LEMONCharles Gottschalk, manager of the Gottschalk opera house in. this j city, is feeling a trife sore, to put I it mildly, over the fact that the Met-ropolftan Amusement company is using Aberdeen and his opera house as its headquarters while playing in smaller towns over the state. At the present time all their mail is sent to Aberdeen, care of the Gottschalk opera house and they are having all their bookings made out of this city for the sake of the prestige it gaves them in the smaller towns. At least that is Mr. Gottschalk’s version of the affair. It will be remembered that the Metropolitan Amusement company played a one night stand in this city and disgusted everyone who was easy enough to witness it. Their show was so poor that Mr. Gottschalk refused to allow them to play a second performance although the agreement was made that they were to play here one n.ight each week, if they made good.
