An Old Settler Goue.Peter Dougherty, one of the oldest settlers of Dubuque couuty.and a man whom all who knew him respected most highly,died at 1:30 a. m. Monday, Dec, 19, at his home in Table Mound township. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a, m.,and interment will be inSt. Philomena's cemetery,Mr. Dougherty was a native of coun ty Down, Ireland, aged 71 years. He came to Dubuque in 1847, and five vears later settled on the farm onwwhich he died. He is survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters. A married daughter and three sons live in the State of Washington.
