At Ry . : Upon the much lamented death of our late Rector, we had formed hopes that you would have succeeded to a living, the cure of a which you had served with unremitting attention and unblemished character for the long period of 26 years—but as events were disappointed the completion of our witces— and that the ‘intention of the present incumbent to ificiate sin the parith supersedes your attendance sus Curate, permit us at the moment of this unexpected separation, ‘to express our heart-felt regret and undifferabled sorrow at the distolurts in we 3eminegion Which your probity enharced, your affiduity, comehieds your example fortified, and your humanity ci deared, . $ 5 Deeply Impressed with the manifold benefis we derived from your pointed and undeviating performance of the labo rious duties of your profetion, your tenderness to the Avery four attendance upon the sick, aid more particularly your fe cicitude fury and unwearied attention try the instilling Into the infant minds of our children the principles of their religion; and inculgating the moral virtues by precept and example, the happy effects of which, many of us new grown -up to manhood feel.
