Heggen, SI years old, who died Wednesday at the home of his son. Carl Heggen, were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at 2 at the Palestine church. The Rev. Pe-der Nordsletten of Wallingford officiated. He was assisted by the Rev. T. Hansen and the Rev. Oscar Knutson of Lakefleld, Minn., the Rev, L. A. Mathre of Estherville, the Rev. E. T. In a prar-ie schooner, the family moved westward to Story county. It was in that vicinity that Mr. Heggen spent the earlier part of Tn 1882 he was married Anna Carlson. To this union nine children were born. three of whom prereeded their father In death. Mrs. Heggen died 12 years ago. In 189 2 Mr. Heggen and his family Joined the Palestine congregation.
