COMPLIMENT HANDICD SILSL BURN BOY BY BIG LEAGUE SCOUT That Harry Glenn, the Shelburn boy who is a member of the St. Louis National League Club, is liked to earn a regular berth with the Cards next season is evinced by an article written by a St. Louis scribe, one said to be in on the know. The ar ticle follows: “Harry Glenn, the Shelburn, Ind., boy, who was “farmed” out to the St. Paul club of the American asso ciation last season, will be taken south in the spring. Glenn was con ceded to be the best catcher in the Interstate league before he broke his ankle in the last game of the 1915 season, and as a battery mate to Bill Peak he excited the admiration of a horde of major league scouts before Eddie Herr put through the deal which landed the ‘star’ battery for the Cards. Herr predicts Glenn will develop into one of the stars of the National league, and when one con siders that ‘Herr made the same pre diction for Bill Doak, when that phe nomenal youngster broke into the league, it is only fair to assume that the Shelburn boy will be of vast as sistance to the Robinson field crew next season.”’
