A WORD FROM M. WORTH.M. Worth, tho famous mu milliner of Paris, writ** as follows to tho AvMraltuianliy chance camo under my notice an article in your journal in which my name is oiled. Notwithstanding I feel very much flattered, under the circumstances 1 come to beg of yet to be good enough to rectify a little error. You say. in speaking of Mre. Sarah Bernhardt, that I habitually inspire myself from her advice and creations to make my models for hire. Potter, who has for many years been one of my meat faithful customers, and you add that she has been dreaaod after the fashion and style of Mrs. Sarah Bernhardt. Without the least wishing to depreciate tho latter, I wish, howevor to establish that ■he has never boen but a passing customer, and ycu will, therefore, understand that 1 have no influence upon her way of dressing. Quite on the contrary, Mrs. Potter, since she hss appeared an the stage, baa now worn but toilettes or**ted by me expressly for her, and they having no resombbnoe whatever with those of the great French tragedian. Amongst other details, I would have you to remark that Mrs. 8arah Bernhardt has ever worn the necks of her dresses very high, and very much trimmed, whereas Mis. Potter baa been the first to wear her necks completely free and open. I roust add that, at my instigation. Mr*. Potter was also the first in London to pul down the bustle. I should feel very much obliged if you would bu good enough to insert this in your next number, and I beg to remain yours. Ac., J. P. WoBTH, 7, Rue do la Patx, Pori?. August 2L
