First, on Monday, the loth, about fifty or more were summoned to attend court us witnesses in the blue ribbon” or .Murphy movement. Monday, the 17th, twenty or more were required to attend 'Squire Henderson’s court as witnesses in the “red ribbon” or “dynamite movement” known as theSanborn-Delauo case with powder in the stove wood, wherein it was attempted to prove that an inch auger would bore a three-quarter of an inch hole in a hard white oak stick, but all the evidence produced failed to establish the fact, for it simply could not be done. Our citizens are getting about tired of being compelled to attend court, with a loss of time and railroad faro on such grievances as may exist only in the brain of the complaining witness, and the political party that would advocate a change in llm law requiring the witness fees paid iit advance in all such cases would tie victorious in this vicinity by an ev •r.vheiimng majority. The witnesses in attendance on the above ease not mentioned in the Daily Coi'i.i.ac ot the 17111, are II. 11. Swettart, Austin Moody, Frank Burnham and Mus-* Kate .Mansfield.11. M. Pars is building a dwellig house and rumor says it will bo occupied by our new butcher, W. S. Brownlow.Dec. 17. lj, 0.
