Imfortante From The Rio Grand —Par ticulars of the Surrender of Matamoros.— From the Brownsville Courier of the whinst. we take the following: At 12 o'clock last night Col. Canales sur rendered the city of Matamoros to Escobedo. He had previously received a communication from Col. Sedgewick authorizing J. L. She ridan Esq., to arrange the preliminaries of a surrender of himself and,forces, and the city, to the United States authorities. He, however, preferred to surrender to Escobedo, which was permitted by Col. Sedgewick, and was accurlingly done . The American troops will doubtle as be im mediately withdrawn. The force at Santa Cnna has already been withdrawn. Capt. Mc Intyre, with a few men, retains upon the plaza, Headquarters Subo District, Rio Grande, Brownsville, Texas, Nov. 30, 1860. Col. Canales—The bearer of this, Mr. Sher man, is fully authorized to arrange the preli minaries for the rendition of yourself and your officers and troops now under your command, to the authorities of the United States.
