McMurry ToReceive Degree FromSBSBerta Ward McMurry will receive the doctor of philosophy degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, during commencement ceremonies Dec. 18.President Russell H. Dilday will award 253 degrees in Southwestern schools of theology, religious education and church music.McMurry is the daughter of Emory and Lorine Ward of Grandview, Texas. She is married to Harvey E. McMurry of Wichita Falls, Texas.Southwestern Seminary is one of six seminaries affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and is the largest theological seminary in the world. Each year, more than 4,000 men and women train for ministry at Southwestern.
