Pennsylvania Rail Employes Un hurt as Gar is Crushed i. , Brown, section toremaz, end John Ruhoff, member of the Pennsylvania railroad maintenance crew, Jumped to safety Montag at 11:30 ( 2). when a fast westbound passenger train crashed into their handcar near the Frankfnist crows ing, Delphos. . . According to Brown, they did not use tis train until it was almost upon them. Finding it impossible to re move the hand-propelled car from the tracks, they leaped into the snow at the north side of the right-of-way. The hand car was reduced to splinters and a mass of twisted iron. Tools and other equipment was scattered.The train was stopped inediately and the crew hurried back to find Brown and Ruhoff sit ting in the snow, congratulating themselves on their narrow escape.
