BERNARDSTONAdelbert S. Atherton*The town has again suffered the loss of one of its influential and respected citizens, in the death ofAdalbert S. Atherton at the Farren hospital Tuesday morning, where he underwent an operation a week ago. He was 70 years of age and had been active, in town . affairs for manyM ' “years, having served as selectman, trustee of Powers institute, and moderator for many years of the local town meetings, and was sent as representative to the General court in 1904. He was a fine auctioneer and was well known’ throughout the county in that way. Alter selling his farm on Burke flat he ran a general store in the village, for several years. He leaves, besides his wife, four children, Mrs. Leila Farnum of Guilford, Mrs. Abbie Farr of. Brattle-boro and John and Raymond of this town, also six grandchildren. The funeral was held in the Unitarian church Thursday afternoon at 2. o’clock, the services being conducted by Rev. R. E. Birks, assisted lt;by Rev. E. M.
