The fire and water committee reported favorably upon the petition for an electric light at the comer of Ninth avenue and the Bluff road. The report was adopted.A report, from the City Engineer stating that improvement district No. 37, had been graded, curbed and macadamized and that Codber Hansen was entitled to $1,126.39 in compensation therefor, was received, approved and referred to the committee on assessments.A resolution was adopted approving and confirming the report of the committee on assessments for the cost of.the construction of a sewer in various alleys in Lyons andconfirming the assessment roll for t he work.A resolution was adopted ronfirming the assessment roll for sidewalks built in various parts. !A resolution instructing’the Mayor and. Auditor to draw a warrant on the water j fund for 80 cents in favor of A- IX Van- I skike and one in favor of A. Slaughter, for i water tax erroneously assessed, was offered and adopted.A resolution was adopted abating thecity portion of the taxes ot Chas.
